How to use the Digital Blue™ Digital Movie Creator 2.0 with other software

Solution:
It is possible to use the Digital Blue™ Digital Movie Creator 2.0 camera with other software. However, please be aware that use of the camera outside of the Digital Movie Creator 2.0 application is not a configuration supported by Digital Blue Customer Support.

When the Digital Movie Creator 2.0 software was installed, TWAIN drivers were installed as well for the camera which will allow another program (e.g. other software that knows how to communicate with a video capture device using the TWAIN standard) to utilize the Digital Movie Creator 2.0 camera.

Some examples: In Microsoft Windows Millenium Edition or 2000, the Microsoft Imaging for Windows* program (which comes pre-installed on these Windows versions) can access the Digital Movie Creator 2.0 camera. To run the Imaging program, click on the Start menu and select Programs, Accessories, Imaging. In Microsoft Windows* XP, the Microsoft Movie Maker* program (which comes pre-installed on Windows XP) can access the Digital Movie Creator 2.0 camera. To run the Movie Maker program, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, Windows Movie Maker.
