How to Add Multiple Background Music to a Movie

Background music can be applied to your movie in the Digital Blue™ Digital Movie Creator 2.0 software by using any of the three methods:

  • Selecting one of the stock music that came pre-installed with the Digital Movie Creator 2.0 software (e.g. Action, Calypso, Creepy, etc.).
  • Recording your own music clips (as .WAV files)
  • Importing your own music clip into the Digital Movie Creator 2.0 (.WAV files only)

Please be aware that the background music you select (whether it be stock, recorded, or imported) will play throughout the entire length of your storyboard movie and that there can only be one background music per storyboard movie. Thus, if you change the background music in one particular frame, the background music will change in the other frames as well.

To add multiple background music to a storyboard movie, you will need to combine two (or more) storyboard movies into a single movie, where each storyboard movie has different background music.

To combine two or more storyboard movies into a single movie, perform these steps:

  1. Save your movies that you had created on the storyboard into the Permanent Collection.
  2. Export each movie as an AVI file. You can do this from the Permanent Collection screen by clicking on the Export button. It is recommended that you use a different file name. This will make it easier to distinguish between your original storyboard movie and the exported AVI file.
  3. Import each AVI file back into the Permanent Collection.
  4. In the Create screen, add each AVI clip to the storyboard.
  5. Save your new movie by clicking the save button below the storyboard.
