How to Email your Movie to a Friend

To email an Digital Blue™ Digital Movie Creator 2.0 movie or still image to a friend, you must export the file. Movies can be exported as WMV or AVI files; still images can be exported as JPG or BMP files. Longer movies and larger still images may take a long time to export.

Note: WMV works best if you want to send a movie as an email attachment because the file is smaller. However, this means that the display size of the exported movie is also smaller.

Perform these steps to export your movie or picture to send to a friend via email:

1. In any screen, click on the Collection button:
2. Use the Forward or Backward arrows to find the movie or picture you want to export.
3. Click to select the file that you want to export.
4. Click the Export button.
5. Navigate to the location on your hard drive where you want to save the file.
6. Select the file format you want for this file. Movies should be saved as WMV or AVI files, pictures should be saved as JPG or BMP files.
7. Click the Export button.
8. Open your email program and send the file as an attachment to a mail message.

Note: Depending on the size of the exported movie and the speed of your Internet connection, sending movies via email can take a while. Also, your Internet Service Provider may have a limit for how large attachments can be. If your movie is long, it may exceed your ISP's size limit.
